Cut files can crate a holiday inspired card.
Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Saundra and I am a cardmaker. I love to create and hope you find a bit of inspiration while you are here.
Today's card features a new cut file called December from Scrapbook.com
Scrapbook .com has been releasing wonderful new cut files. I am having so much fun playing with them!
For today's card I went for a classic holiday look. I pulled out some papers from the Tim Holtz ideology Christmas pad and got to creating.
I sized the December vertical pocket card included in the December Cut File to fit an A2 (4.25"x5.5") card base. I used my Silhouette Cameo software to get just the right size. I cut this out using the plaid designer paper. I, also, created a backer for my December title and cut it out using Lawn Fawn Black Licorice cardstock so that the December would show up. Black Soot Distress Ink and a Sponge Dauber were used to ink all of the edges.
Before mounting the designer papers onto my card base I added a piece of velvet ribbon I had in stash. I added some fun foam to the back of my patterned papers using some Scrapbook.com Double-Sided Adhesive.
Next I added my"25" (a little sneak of an upcoming cut file) that was cut out 3 times out of black cardstock and once out of red glittered cardstock from Lawn Fawn's Holiday Sparkle Pack. I stacked these together with some Lawn Fawn Liquid Glue and popped them onto my card.
For my sentiment I used a Tim Holtzidea-ology Christimastime Flashcard that said holiday. To that I stamped the word Happy in some Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and added some clear embossing powder from Ranger. I heat set it with my Wagner Heat Gun. Once it cooled I added some Black Soot Distress Ink to the edges and attached it to my card.
Lastly, I added a snowflake charm from Tim Holtz ideology Snowflake Adornments with a bit of Lawn Fawn Black Tie Baker's Twine and my card was complete.
There are some many possibilities when using these files! Be sure to check out all the new cut files that Scrapbook.com has to offer!
