This card came together quite quickly if you take out the drying time!

To get started I used Distress Watercolor Cardstock and Distress Oxide Inks to create a background for my die cut.

I splattered and and created color splotches on my background using the following colors:

While my background was drying I used my Silhouette Cameo and the new Scrapbook.com Color Me Happy cut file to create my focal point for my card. I mixed the title  fit an A2 card (4.25"x5.5").

I cut the title a total of 4 times and stacked the layers together with some liquid adhesive. I added the title to center of my card.

I added my panel to a black cardstock base with some Scrapbook.com Clear Double Sided Adhesive

With that adhered, I thought the card could use just a little something more so I added some Ranger Glossy Accents to the letters to give it a nice shine.

If you have never shopped at Scrapbook-com take a moment to check out the wonderful selection. You will not be disappointed!

I hope your day is filled with happiness!

Masculine Love You ~ Altenew

October 25, 2019 0 Comments
A masculine card made with simple inking techniques allowed this design come to life.

Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Saundra and I am a cardmaker. I love to create and hope you find a bit of inspiration while you are here.

Although I intended this card to be for a masculine person it could easily be tweaked to give it a more feminine flair.

Here is a list of supplies used to create this card:

Inks:

To begin I created a background using the Classy Stripes Stencil and Arctic ink. I wanted to keep the center light so I began inking at the edges and lightened the pressure as I went towards the center.

I used my favorite Leaf Canopy stamps with Firebrick and Olive Ink. The ink was applied randomly on the stamp and spritzed with clear water then stamped onto the cardstock. I repeated this step until I was happy with the color. I really love the texture that was achieved.

The leaves were die cut with the Leaf Copy Dies and mounted onto my stenciled background with a combination of glue and foam adhesive.

Finally, the sentiment was stamped from the Painted Greetings stamps and heat embossed.
The only embellishment needed was some splatter from Altenew Jet Black Ink Spray and my card is finished!

So, what do you think? Would you give this card to your favorite masculine friend?

Thanks for joining me today!

Always Believe ~ Altenew

Simple stamping and an encouraging messages makes for a wonderful card.

Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Saundra and I am a card maker. I love to create and hope you find a bit of inspiration while you are here.

Well friends, it has been a while since I have posted anything. Life got a little crazy and I was kind of lost for a little while. I hope to be more consistent in posting from now on.

For today's card I kept things simple. I think this card would be an easy one to mass produce and by changing the greeting and color scheme you would have a nice set of cards.
 Let's have a closer look!

Supplies are listed below. Please feel free to skip to the bottom to see what was used. Affiliate links have been used where applicable. It does not cost you extra when you click on them but I do get a small compensation. )

This is almost a one layer card, except I used a card stock panel and added it to card base.

For this card I started by stamping the base flower from Altenew's Sophisticated Wreath stamps. I chose the lightest shade of purple for the first layer. I created a few masks so that I could stamp across the card panel. To do this quickly I chose several sheets of Post Its and stamped my image once. I fussy-cut the image once by keeping all the layers of Post its together. The result was that I had several masks from one stamping.

I continued stamping my base layer across the top and bottom of the card panel. Using my masks I stamped the second layer with the darker ink.

Instead of using the last layer for the flower centers I used a Versmarker to add sticky ink and gold embossing powder.  I heat set it and moved on to the sentiment.

I chose to do some selective stamping for my sentiment. I heat embossed the Wonderful with gold embossing powder and stamped the rest of the sentiment in Deep Iris Ink.

Once all of my stamping and heat embossing was complete, I added my card panel to my card base.

Super simple but elegant!

For this card I used the following supplies:
