Today I am featuring a card I created with Craftin Desert Divas new Pirate Pals Stamps.
This is a fun set that includes critters dressed up like pirates.
To create my scene I started by inking up a background using the CDD Burst Stencil and Distress Oxide inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Fossilized Amber, and Wild Honey. I blended these onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock. Once I was happy with the blend I splattered on some water droplets and soaked it up with a. dry cloth. For added sparkle I added some Perfectly Gold Perfect Pearls.
Next I worked on the ocean waves that were diet with CDD Ocean Border Dies and Outdoor Landscape Dies. I used Distress inks here, as well. The colors I used are Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon, and Salty Ocean. I also cut out the sand from the CDD Outdoor Landscape Dies and added some texture with my Copic Markers.
I die cut each of the background components with the CDD Torn Paper Dies and adhered them together. I added the palm tree to the scene. The palm tree is included in the CDD Island Dies. I cut this from white card stock and colored the tree with my Copic Markers.
Lastly, I added the cute little bunny pirate, treasure, and flag from the new CDD Pirate Pals Stamps and a sentiment from the CDD Away We Go stamps. I mounted everything on my card base the that complete the card.
