Craftin Desert Divas July 2018 Blog Hop

Hello, everyone! Welcome to my blog!

Today we are celebrating the July Release from Craftin Desert Divas with a blog hop!

If you came from Jan's Blog then you are in the right place. If you would like to start the hop from the beginning then head on over to the Craftin Desert Divas Blog.

I'll have a list of all the stops at the end of this post.

I created two cards for you today using the new You stamps.

These stamps are gorgeous! I just had to do some inking and watercoloring with them.

For this card I chose to do some heat embossing and ink blending. I used Distress Inks and a sponge dauber to create the blend I wanted. This card was totally inspired by a design by Laura Bassen, the queen of ink blending!

I used the following color: Picked Raspberry, Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon, and Cracked Pistachio.

I kept the card pretty simple by adding heat embossed sentiments and clear sequins.

For my second card, I used the same Distress Inks but I did some loose watercolor instead.

I heat embossed the smaller images that are included in the You Stamps and added my color. I did some splattering for some added interest. Once dry, I die cut my panel with CDD Crazy Stitched Frames Dies and popped the panel up with some foam.

I, again, heat embossed the sentiments from the You Stamps and finished off the card with a few sequins.

The July Release is now available for purchase! This collection of stamps, dies  (and a stencil too!) is a great addition to your Summery cards or planner spreads. You’ll find lots of creative uses for the 6x6” swirl stencil - like a fun template for stitching! Once you’re done hopping, head over to the Craftin Desert Divas shop to snag your new release bundle - 10% off only through 7/15!

You can find the full release in the Craftin Desert Divas Shop!

Your next stop is the talented Ashley.

Here is the the whole line up:
