If Friends Were Flowers Treat Bag

March 22, 2018 0 Comments

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I have a cute little treat bag featuring the Craftin Desert Divas Flower Kisses Stamps.

This stamp set is from the March release and is one of my absolute favorites!

I stamped then colored my images with Copic markers and fussy-cut them out. I layered the images on a die cut scallop circle from the CDD Stitched In Circle Dies. Before adding my images I used some Distress Oxide Ink in Gathered Twigs, Twisted Citron, and Lucky Clover to my background using the new CDD Blooming Tree Stencil.

I popped the circle die up with some foam tape and mounted in on my bag that was die cut with the CDD Treat Bag Dies

A fe little embellishments were added and my sweet little bag was completed.

You can find all of the items pictured (minus the ribbon) in the Craftin Desert Divas Shop.

Yay! It's Your Birthday ~ Craftin Desert Divas March Release

March 15, 2018 0 Comments

Hello! Welcome to my blog!

Today I have a card featuring the new Flower Kisses Stamps from Craftin Desert Divas March Release.

This has got to be one of my favorite stamps sets! I just love the images!

For this card I started by inking a background with Distress Oxide Inks in Twisted Citron, Lucky Clover, Fossilized Amber and Wild Honey. To created the sun's rays I used the new CDD Bright Horizons Stencil. I taped off the portions the stencil and moved the stencil around to create the look I wanted. I flicked on a bit of water and blotted it off with a paper towel. Once I was happy with the background I used CDD Crazy Stitched Frames Dies to give it a nice finished edge and mounted it on my card base.

I used this fun image from the CDD Flower Kisses Stamps and colored him with my Copic Markers. I fussy-cut him out and mounted him on the card.  I used CDD Stitched Alpha Dies to create part of my sentiment.  The bottom of theltters were inked with a little Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink and I had cut several layers to give it some dimension.

My stamped sentiment is from an older CDD set that is no longer available. I finished the card with a few sequins.

Be sure to head on over the CDD Shop to check out all of the new products!

Free Hugs ~ Craftin Desert Divas March Release

March 11, 2018 0 Comments

Hello Everyone!

Today I am am sharing a card featuring Craftin Desert Divas new Flower Kisses Stamps and Blooming Tree Stencil.

I love the new Blooming Tree Stencil and as you can see here I just used  some of the branches to create my scene. If you want to ink up certain parts of a stencil I suggest using a sponge dauber. It makes inking the stencil just where you want it easier.

I used Distress Oxide Inks to create my background and color my grass across the bottom of this card. For this I used the Outdoor Landscape 2 Dies.

My images are from the new Flower Kisses stamps. I colored them and added them to my card. My sentiment comes from an older CDD stamp set called This & That.

The new stamps, dies, and stencils are now available in the CDD shop!

Have a fabulous day!!

Springtime Wishes ~ Craftin Desert Divas March Release

March 08, 2018 0 Comments

Welcome to my blog!

Today I am featuring a sneak peek of Craftin Desert Divas new Flower Kisses stamps.

I adore this set! It has the cutest mouse images and I could not wait to play with them!

For my card I first created a masked using the CDD Inside Stitched Scallop Circles Die and masking paper. I used the negative so that I could ink the center of my cardstock panel. For this, I used Ranger distress Oxide Inks in Broken China, Salty Ocean, Twisted Citron, and Lucky Clover. After I removed my masked I die-cut my panel with the CDD Crazy Stitched Frames Dies making sure my circle was centered.

I stamped my image twice, once on my background and one on my Copic friendly cardstock. My image was colored with Copic markers and fussy-cut on the black edge. I adhered the image in place over the stamped one on my panel. I used a little selective stamping to add a few more dandelion wisps outside the circle.

Last, I stamped my sentiment, added a few flowers, and mounted my panel on some light blue cardstock.

Together ~ Craftin Desert Divas March Release

March 05, 2018 0 Comments

Hello Friends!

I'm back with another card featuring the new Craftin Desert Divas Let's do Lunch stamps and the new Flower Border Dies.

All of this week the designers will be sharing their creations with the new stamps, dies, and stencils.

The images in the Let's Do Lunch set are adorable and I couldn't wait to color them up. Here you can see the sweet bunny sharing some lemonade with her friend. I colored these images with Copic markers and added a bit of Glossy Accents the pitcher and glasses.

Once I finished coloring my images I fussy-cut them out and added them to the font of my card panel.  For the background inked up the sky with Salty Ocean and Broken China Distress Oxide Inks.

I used the new Flower Border Die for the ground and flowers, inking the ground with Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover Distress Oxide Inks. I colored in the flowers with Copic Markers. I layered it on my blue inked background.

The white layer was cut using the Fancy Frames Dies. I ran my panel through. my Big Shot with and old Cuttlebug embossing folder called Swiss Dots to give my card some texture. The circle window was cut using the Inside Scallop Circle dies.

Everything came together for a sweet little scene.

Let's Do Lunch ~ Craftin Desert Divas March Release

March 05, 2018 0 Comments

Hello! Today begins the Craftin Desert Divas March Sneak Peeks. I hope you are ready for some cuteness overload because the designers will be sharing some awesome projects.

Today we are featuring the new Let's Do Lunch stamps, Flower Border Die, and the Blooming Tree Stencil.

For my first project I used the new Let's Do Lunch stamps and Blooming Tree Stencil.

I just love these ants! They remind me of the ants from the movie Bugs Life so I colored them up to look like them!

I created my scene by masking off the bottom of my card and ink blending that area with some Distress Oxide Ink in Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover. For the sky I used a stencil I created by die cutting some acetate using the Stitch Scallop Dies. This helps me create some billowing clouds with the use of some Broken China and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Inks.

Once I was happy with my blended base I used the new Blooming Tree Stencil. Here is where my ink daubers came in handy. I used Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Ink for the trunk and Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover for the leaves. I added a few details with my Copic markers so that the trunk did look so flat.

With the background complete I added my images from the Let's Do Lunch Stamps. These were all colored with Copic markers. I hand cut and colored the picnic blanket for my little ant to sit and have his picnic lunch.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment that comes with this set, mounted my panel on a card base, added some faux stitching on the side, and a bit of Glossy Accents on the ants' eyes.
