Let Your Dreams Soar

January 26, 2018 0 Comments

Happy Friday!! I hope you've had a fabulous week!

Today I have a super cute card I created with a digital stamp from Craftin Desert Divas.

I used the Bunny Heart Balloon digital stamp for this project.

It was so easy to resize and use only the elements I wanted using my Silhouette Designers Software. I  colored all the images I wanted and cut it out. I attached the images to my background, popping up my balloon.

For my background, I created stencil with CDD Stitched Scallop Dies and inked some clouds on my background and added some yellows for sunshine. I used Distress Oxide Inks in Broken China, Fossilized Amber, and Spiced Marmalade. Once I was happy with the background I cut it out with CDD Crazy Stitched Frames.

The sentiment is from CDD Happy Thoughts Stamps. It was stamped then heat embossed. I topped the hearts and the little bunnies nose with some Glossy Accents and added some enamel dots to finish off my card.

Here is a look at all of the images you get with the CDD Bunny Heart Balloon digital stamp.

Love ~ Craftin Desert Divas PS I Love You

January 23, 2018 0 Comments

Hello and welcome to my blog!

Today I have a very sweet card I created with Craftin Desert Divas PS I Love You Stamps.

This card came out just as I had envisioned and I adore it!

I colored up this sweet couple from the CDD PS I Love You Stamps with my Copic markers. I added a few dot details with my black Sharpie.

I used CDD Fancy Frames Dies to cut both my image panel and patterned paper. To frame the couple I used CDD Inside Scalloped Circle Dies to create an opening. I layered everything together. My sentiment is from CDD Hugs and Kisses Stamps. I added it to a banner from the CDD Flag Banner Dies and heat embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder from Ranger. I cut another banner and layered the two. To finish the card off, I added a few enamel dots from my stash.

I have to say that this is one of my favorite cards!

All My Love

January 22, 2018 0 Comments

Hi there! Happy Monday to you all!

I have a sweet Valentine card to share today featuring Craftin Desert Divas Hugs and Kisses Stamps.

I colored this cute little troll image on Day 6 of the Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge. He was colored with Copic markers and accented with some white gel pen. There is some Clear Wink of Stella in his hair and on the balloon and hearts but I think it is hard to see.

Once my image was all colored I was ready to build my background. I layered some patterned paper on my card base, then added a white layer that I cut from CDD Fancy Frames Dies. On top that layer is a smaller panel that was cut from the same dies set. I used CDD Inside Scalloped Circle Dies to cut away the corner. To this panel, I applied some Ranger Texture Paste that I had mixed with a little Distress Crayon in Worn Lipstick. I applied the paste to the CDD Hearts Galore Stencil and sprinkled it with some Martha Stewart glitter. I wanted this card to have a lot of sparkle!

I'll Be There ~ Craftin Desert Divas January Release

January 20, 2018 0 Comments

Welcome!

Today I am sharing another card from Craftin Desert Divas January Release.

I  have been participating in the Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge and having so much fun coloring these images!

This card features the cute little elephant from CDD Up, Up & Away Stamps. I have been having fun with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens lately so I colored my image up with them. You can't tell in the picture but I added some Clear wink of Stella to the ballon for some shimmer.

I knew I wanted my little elephant and his friend to be flying above the city and that it needed to be a night sky so I created a background with Ranger Distress Inks. I used the following ink colors: Antique Linen, Victorian Velvet, Seedless Preserves, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot. To create the stars, I first added some water droplets and picked those up with a paper towel. Then I mixed some Perfect Pearls with a little water to add some droplets in the sky and to give it some shimmer. To go just one step further, I mixed a little white acrylic paint, more Perfect Pearls, and a tiny bit of water and added it to the sky. Once I was happy with the background I cut my panel with CDD Crazy Stitched Frames Dies.

I added my city building across the bottom of my card. These are from CDD Building Dies. I quickly added color with my Zig Pens. I popped up my balloon and add the sentiment which is included with the Up, Up & Away Stamps.

Celebrate Gift Bag

January 18, 2018 0 Comments

Hello there! I hope you all are having a fabulous week!

Today I wanted to share a super cute gift bag that I made with Craftin Desert Divas

I just adore how this came out.

If you have been following social media then you know that the 30 Day Coloring Challenge from The Daily Marker is happening right now. I colored this image on Day 2 of the challenge.

To color this sweet image I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens to watercolor. These pens are so fun and I really enjoyed the process.

Once my image was colored I cut it our with CDD Stitched In Circles Die. I felt the background was a little plain so I used the Sorted Shapes 1 Stencil and a little Hickory Smoke Distress ink to give it a little sumthin' sumthin'.

I attached this cutie to the a little gift bag that I created using the CDD Gift Bag Die. I used my hole punch and tied some Baker's Twine to close the bag. ( I have quite a bit of Baker's Twine and definitely need to use it more!)

For the final touch I added a sentiment form CDD Bring on the Cake Stamps ( No longer available). I used some Hero Arts shadow inks the matched the twine and yellows in my image and hand cut the sentiment from cardstock.

This really came together fast and I love it. I hope you do, too!

Big Birthday Wishes ~ Craftin Desert Divas

January 17, 2018 0 Comments
Hello there!

Welcome to my blog!

Today I wanted to share a card I created using Craftin Desert Divas Classic Cars Stamps.

But first, let me share with you the special challenge that Craftin Desert Divas has going on right now.

As you can see it is a color challenge.

My card today has been created following the guidelines.

I used the brand new stamps from Craftin desert Divas January 2018 release. These Classic Cars stamps are the cutest. They are currently sold out but you can go on over to the CDD Shop and get them on preorder.

So I colored up my girly card with all the purples in my Copic collection. I had to add the pick bow. For my background, I used the Party Time Stencil and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Ink.

For the sentiment I used the Wishful Thoughts Word Dies. I cut the word out 3 times and stack them for some dimension. I also covered the Big word with some Clear Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents.
The birthday wishes in the same ink as the background. I placed it on a flag from the Flag Banner Dies. The sentiment is from the Wishful Thoughts Stamps.

I framed the card in some purple cardstock using the Inside Scalloped Rectangle Dies. A few sequins were added and the card is complete!

I hope you will join us on Facebook and participate in the challenge. We would love to have you there. You can find all of the details HERE.

Thank you for visiting today!

Up, Up & Away! ~ Craftin Desert Divas January Release

January 10, 2018 0 Comments

Hello again!

This is day 3 of the Craftin Desert Divas January Preview!

Today the designers are featuring 1 new stamp set and 1 new mini:  Up, Up & Away is a 4x6 stamp set with many cute images and Believe is our mini.  I think you will love them! All of the new stamps and dies will be available for purchase on Friday, January 12, 2018.

First up is a card that I created with the Up, Up & Away stamps.

I adore this little koala riding in his hot air balloon! So cute!!

To begin I created a background panel to look like a night sky. To achieve this I used Ranger Distress Ink in Faded Jeans, Wilted Violet, and Black Soot. I added a little bit of texture using CDD Sorted Shapes Stencil. It is subtle but I love it. I sprinkled a little water and some Perfect Pearls on the background to give a little shimmer. Unfortunately, it doesn't show up in the photo very well. Once I was happy with my background I die cut it with CDD Fancy Frames Dies.

I layered on a few frames from CDD Inside Scalloped Rectangle Dies. Now my image is perfectly framed. I colored up this cutie with Copic markers and I added a few stars from the Up, Up, & Away Stamps, as well. My sentiment comes from this same stamps set. It was heat embossed in black to make it pop. For a final touch I added some stars from a couple different die set from Craftin Desert Divas and I hit a few areas with my Clear Wink of Stella pen.

For my second card, I used the new mini stamp Believe.

This little unicorn is so cute!

I inked up a background panels with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink and added the CDD Sorted Shapes Stencil for texture. The panel was die cut with the CDD Fancy Frames Dies I added a scallop strip the the card from CDD Pocket Pieces Hello Dies and my sentiment is from CDD Little Superstar Stamps. I colored up the Unicorn from the Believe Mini Stamp with Copic markers and added some Clear Wink of Stella for some sparkle. For a finishing touch a dded a few sequins.

I hope you enjoyed the preview so far. Be sure to check out what all of the designers are creating by going to the January Release Event on Facebook.

You're A Classic ~ Craftin Desert Divas January Release

January 09, 2018 0 Comments

Hi Friends! Welcome to another day of Craftin Desert Divas January Sneak Peeks!

Today the designers are featuring projects that showcase the new Classic Cars Stamps, Happy Sentiments Stamps, and Happy Die.

I used the Classic Car Stamps for my card today. I just couldn't resisted this cute little guy. He reminds me a little of Mator from Cars.  I colored him with Copic markers.

I created my sky with Distress Oxide Inks in Abandoned Coral, Spiced Marmalade, and Fossilized Amber. I used the CDD Southwestern Border Dies for my desert and used Distress Oxide in the following colors to bring it to life: Antique Linen, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain.  Did you know that you can find Distress Oxide Inks in the CDD Shop? I have linked the colors for you.

To F
To frame out my scene I created a window and embossed it with and embossing folder to give it some texture. I added a few cactuses to give it balance and finally stamped my image with embossing ink and heat embossed it so it was nice and bold.

I am in love the Classic Cars Stamps and will be coloring up some more soon.

The new stamps and dies will be available for purchase on Friday, January 12, 2018.

I will be back soon with some more Craftin Desert Divas Sneak peeks very soon!

Sweetest Birthdays ~ Craftin Desert Divas January Release

January 08, 2018 0 Comments

Hello there! I am back from the holiday break and am excited to share this sweet card with you!

This week you will be seeing projects made with Craftin Desert Divas new stamps and dies.

Today the designers are showing projects using the new Sweetest Birthday Stamps, Party Border Dies, and Party Time Stencil. All of these items will be available for purchase on Friday, January 12, 2018.

Let me show the the full card!

For this card I am showcasing the Sweetest Birthday Stamps and Party Time Stencil.

I started with a panel and stamped the cute little mice then stamped again to create a mask. Once masked I used the CDD Sorted Shapes Stencil and some Ranger Distress Ink to create my wallpaper. Ink colors used were Cracked Pistachio and Hickory Smoke. For the floor I used Antique Linen and Walnut Stain.

My images were colored with Copic markers. Aren't these mice sweet!

I took another panel  and used the new Party Time Stencil and some Dew Drop Brilliance Ink in Pearlescent Orchid and Galaxy Gold. I used a sponge dauber and was a little selective only applying ink in the spaces I wanted. Once completed I used CDD Fancy Frames Dies to diecut the panel. I used a circle die from CDD Stitched Circles Dies to create a window in my panel.  The same Dew Drop Brilliance ink was used to ink up a layering panel and some cardstock to match the balloons and confetti.

I layered everything together and added my sentiment from the new Sweetest Birthday Stamps and a bow that I die cut from CDD Shaker Tag Dies. Just a touch of Clear Wink of Stella here and there and the card was complete!

Stay tuned this week as I have more projects coming from this new release!
