Happy Columbus Day! I hope you all had a nice weekend.
Did you get to create anything for World Cardmaking Day?
I was able to get one card done and I absolutely love the way it turned out!
I used my time to play along with the Craftin Desert Divas October Social Media Challenge.
Here is the inspiration:
I think I was most inspired by the colors and the autumn elements.
I started with the cute scarecrow from Craftin Desert Divas Harvest Happiness stamps. I love this scarecrow and just had to color him up with my Copic markers.
I created a window for my background scene use a circle die from my stash. For the background I used CDD Fall Border Dies and I watercolored the trees with Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens. The grass and the sky were created with some Distress Oxide Inks.
For my sentiment I used CDD Flag Banner Dies. I heat embossed the sentiment from the Harvest Happiness set and added another label under it. I had the card pretty much completed but it seemed to lacking something and them is when I decided to add a bit of white spatter on the front. I did that with a little white acrylic paint mixed with a little water. It was just what the card needed!
I have a little more to share with you this week so please come back!
Keep crafting!
